FAQ
What states are you licensed to provide counseling services in?
Michelle is licensed to provide virtual counseling services to clients located in Washington, Arizona, Minnesota, and Ohio. Consulting services are available nationally.
Do you take insurance for counseling or consulting services?
I take select insurances and offer private pay for others. We provide a Good Faith Estimate and can offer a monthly superbill for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Please check with your provider regarding out-of-network benefits.
How do virtual sessions work?
Sessions are conducted via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. You will receive a link prior to each appointment. All you need is a private space and a stable internet connection.
How do I know if counseling is right for me?
Counseling may be right for you if you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward. You do not have to be in crisis to benefit from support. Many people come to counseling during seasons of stress, grief, transition, relationship strain, burnout, or personal reflection. Counseling can provide a supportive space to better understand what you are experiencing, build practical coping skills, and take meaningful steps toward the life you want to build.
What can I expect during the first session?
Our first appointment is where you’ll share your story and we’ll review your intake and history documents so I can gain a clear picture of your life experiences. We’ll discuss your goals and begin identifying the areas you’d like to focus on. We’ll also review my practice policies, outline what our work will look like, and answer any questions you may have. This first meeting is to allow us to become familiar with each other, help you feel informed and supported, as we begin your healing journey.
